Robert Dunn, Barrister and Solicitor, has been a member in good standing of the Nova Scotia Barristers Society since 1990. He received his law degree from the Faculty of Law at Dalhousie University in 1985. In 2021 he earned the certification of Certified Information Privacy Professional – Canada (CIPP-C) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Robert has an especially deep understanding of the Nova Scotia public sector and in particular the health care sector having spent most of his professional career as a member of the Labour Relations Service at Heath Association Nova Scotia, ultimately serving as the Director of that service and a member of the executive team. In 2018 he assumed the position of General Counsel with the Association which involved among other things providing support and leadership in a range of corporate governance and risk management functions. A major project during that time was the development of a comprehensive privacy and information security strategy for the Association. Robert retired from the Association in 2021 and now continues to practice law as a sole practitioner. The firm Dunn Law was founded in the fall of 2021.
